I am an outdoors kind of person who likes to walk with a dog who only wants to lay in the sun. She is not a walker. She is also shy and takes a while to warm to other people and dogs. But she is loving and sweet and well behaved.

Hi, we have three huskies at the moment, two of our own and one we are fostering. We would love to exchange dog sitting with other husky owners or others experienced with handling dogs over 50 pounds. Our are all seniors (7,10,12 yrs old) so they are mellow huskies. We are flexible to have someone bring only one or two of our pups to watch, because splitting them up for a few days may be easier than finding someone to watch all three.

I'm Tomas and I live with my wife Marta and our dog Lola. Lola is a female Great Pyrenees / German Shepherd mix we adopted when she was an 8 week old puppy. We practice positive reinforcement only when interacting with dogs (e.g. treats, games, praise and love). We have a large backyard and Lola takes exercise and play at the pace of the dog or human she's with. If needed we also have games like fetch and lure course to make sure dogs get their full exercise. Lola is well socialized and her playgroup has all types of dogs ranging from 10 pounds to over 120. She warms up quickly to adults and dogs, especially ones that like to play (chase and wrestle). Her favorite game is being chased and she's very fast :) She's shy and still getting used to being around children (we don't have any). Until she becomes friends with a dog she can be resource guardy around sticks and toys (so we keep them out of reach with company). We're working on reactivity on leash (typically towards dogs on her walk that bark at her) so she's best with exercise in the backyard or on walks where she's less likely to run into others. Lola is spayed, vaccinated, house trained. She goes with the flow (can be chill or active depending on the dog she's with).
